Great 2 CD, 1 DVD set. Gov't Mule is one of the best Rock and Roll bands of this age, and this is some of the best evidence of this fact.

This has got to be one of the finest live performances of Gov't Mule. In every track, both audio and DVD, Warren Haynes delivers BIG. He certainly is one of our very best rock-blues guitarists/composers and in every instace he is accompanied by world class instrumentalists. AND it's great value for money -- over 6 hours of music!

The songs listed above here are NOT on the Deepest End! I don't think they are even by Gov't Mule. Never heard of these songs. If you are looking for The Deepest End, Live in Concert, don't choose this selection just in case....

Gov't Mule has been lumped into the jam band category, but their music is hardly just noodling solos, half-a*sed melodies and nonsense lyrics. Their albums are cohesive, SOLID, INTENSE, GREAT SONGS! A little jazz influence, too, of course. And they do like to solo--hey, it's Warren Haynes with the Allman Brothers, after all--but their material, along with the Black Crowes' latest offerings, is heads and shoulders above ANY hard/southern/blues rock band out there today. For a long time I avoided Gov't Mule because I thought they were just a jam band with long, boring, jazzy songs. Boy, was I wrong! DEAD wrong! Get ALL of Gov't Mule albums if you like Skynyrd, the Allmans, Led Zeppelin, Blackfoot, the Black Crowes....you will be KICKING yourself for not discovering this band years ago!! The only album of theirs I DON'T recommend is their latest--Mighty High. It's nothing but boring, industrial-ish reggae. If you like that kind of music, then fine, you'll probably like it. For me, it was a waste of money. I just hope their next effort is back to the blues rock that they are best known for. Find the 3-disc version of this release if you can. Two CDs and one very long concert DVD! What a deal!!

I heard a clip from this album on NPR, checked it out online and ordered it. It's fun, upbeat guitar music. It's good for listening in the car when you don't want too much noise or distraction, and it's peppy enough to keep you interested. Glad I ordered it.

I first heard Lynn Patrick on an NPR bumper. The short segment was so good, I looked her up here and ordered both of her CD's. If you like nice accoustic guitar in a sort of new age grove, this CD will be a great addition to your collection.

I just have to say I get bored easily with work outs however this is so entertaining and the workout really - Works you out- I am completely satisfied with this and will continue to use for many years to come.

I admit, years ago, I couldn't warm up to Chris Freytag. I was too stuck on Cathe and didn't give her a fair chance. However, recently, I'm discovering that she has indeed some really good, challenging and fun workouts that make very good use of your time and this is one of those. I completely disagree with some of the reviewers here that say it's for beginners. While a beginner can modify the moves, overall this is an intermediate workout that gives you very good cardio and weights intervals. To make it harder for me, I used 10 to 12 lb. dumbbells and sometimes added a few more compound moves and high impact to this routine and got an awesome challenging workout. Time just flew by and it felt great.

Fifty minutes flies by with this workout because of all the variety. In addition to the targeted toning sections, each cardio interval has a different theme: classic aerobics, "ball games", dancing, kickboxing, bootcamp, and power yoga. The yoga doesn't really get your heart rate up, but it's in the last circuit so I think of it as the prelude to the cool-down. As always, Chris is excited, inspiring, and genuine.

This is my favorite all around workout DVD. I enjoy a variety--from hula to kickboxing, but this is the one I recommend to those who ask me what first exercise DVD to buy. It has a great balance of different types of exercise and best of all, everytime you think you don't want to go on--because of being tired or bored--it switches. The segments are bite size and it's easy to convince yourself that you can do just one more. Highly recommended. I wish Prevention would make more of these 3-2-1 workouts on DVD.

This work out covers it all for me, if you have time and energy, you can do all the segments together, if you're running, you just do your one 6 minute workout!

Prevention Fitness Systems Express Workout - Belly Butt & Thighs Prevention Fitness Systems Express Workout - Belly Butt & Thighs

This is a good and efficient workout with specific body parts. I used it once. The next day, specific body parts of mine are aching good. I will use this again, 10 mins per area.

I can get a nice workout from this dvd and have a good burn the next day. Very easy to follow the main and modified workouts. I wish it had an arm segment to complete it, though. I tend not to grab it as much as other exercise dvds that include arms.

This workout is quick (3 x 10 minute series for abs, butt and thighs.) It's great for times when you want to do SOMETHING but not get exhausted. I did it in the morning when I was still a bit sleepy, and it worked to get me warmed up and sweating a bit. Chris's cues are usually clear although I did mess up a few times when first watching it, but I'm a bit clumsy. Her stretching is very fast, and I paused the DVD to keep holding positions in order to actually feel the full stretch, but other than that the workout was fine. If you are quite fit then this DVD will probably bore you and barely break a sweat. I work out regularly but neglect my lower body as far as lunges, squats, etc. so I wanted something to ease me back into such exercises. If you have knee problems you won't like the squat or lunge series. Basically, I consider this fine for days when I want a warm-up or I'm too tired to actually go a full hour and a half at the gym. It wasn't annoying to watch (no chattering and whooping like in some DVDs) and is efficient.

Prevention Fitness Systems - Express Workout: Belly, Butt and Thighs (DVD) This is one great DVD workout. Its 30 min. long and I feel I really workout in those minutes. It makes me sweat but doesn't burn my energy for the day. Its a nice present to myself or a freind!

This is a really great 30 minute workout. Or if all you have is 10 minutes you can just do one of them.

Prevention Fitness Systems - Express Workout: Dance it Off! Prevention Fitness Systems - Express Workout: Dance it Off!

Reviews

After reading many of the reviews of this DVD I decided to write my own. I've had this workout for about a year and I like it. I understand some of the reviewers complaints about the choreography being to difficult to pick up on, I too had the same issues the first few times I attempted this workout. However, after a few times it really does get easier. It's broken up into four routines; hip-hop, latin, jazz and ballet which is nice, as you can pick and choose what you prefer. My personal opinion is that the hip-hop routine is the most intense, cardio wise, followed by latin, jazz and ballet (the ballet portion isn't cardio, more for toning). I suggest if you are a beginner try doing the same routine twice in a row, for example do the latin routine twice to try and pick up the steps and so on until the routines become more familiar to you. I started out choosing two of the routines and as I got more fit I would add another routine. It's nice to have options and to change things up. The instructor is likable enough and the other dancers make you feel comfortable at any fitness level. I will say that the hip-hop routine is a little silly to me. I'm unsure of when this DVD came out, but Jennifer starts the routine by saying that we are going to do some funky and fresh moves, which makes me laugh every time I hear it, as these move are NOT fresh or funky for that matter. They are pretty dated moves, but it's still fun and the most intense of the workouts. All and all it's a good workout and more fun than doing straight up cardio.

I was interested in trying this workout because I really enjoy 10 Minute Solution: Fat Blasting Dance Mix, also by Jennifer Galardi. What I love about that workout is that the segments are fun and easy-to-follow, yet they definitely get my heart rate up, so I was hoping for the the same here. The Main Menu of this DVD lists the following options: Warm-Up, Hip-Hop, Latin, Jazz, Ballet, Cool-Down. There is also a Bonus section that includes a recipe for a Health Boosting Smoothie, 5 Great Ab Shapers (instruction on 5 Pilates moves), and Rev Up Your Energy (tips on breath & posture). The 5 1/2 minute Warm-Up was easy-to-follow, with moves like easy taps, V-steps, and triple steps, although it didn't really do much to raise my heart rate. The Hip Hop segment was about 11 minutes long. Of the three cardio segments, I'd rate this one as the most fun. Galardi teaches in a manner similar to how she does in the 10 Minute Solution video--i.e., she introduces a small piece of choreography, has you practice several times, and then moves on to the next piece, gradually adding on. However, there isn't too much "take it from the top," as you only repeat the entire routine a few times through at the end. I found the choreography for the Hip Hop segment slightly tricky but doable; unfortunately, however, I struggled even more with the Latin (10.5 mins) and Jazz (10.5 mins) segments. The Jazz in particular was quite fast-paced, and eventually, I gave up on even trying to follow along. The 9-minute ballet segment was nice, with traditional ballet moves such as plies, attitudes, passe, and ronde-de-jom. However, unlike the two toning segments in 10-Minute Solution Fat Blasting Dance Mix, this section did not provide any additional aerobic benefit. Galardi ends with a 4-minute Cool-Down for a total time of 50.5 minutes. In summary, I was somewhat disappointed by this workout. Although I thought Galardi did a good job, I found the choreography to be significant more complex than in her previous workout that I had tried. And either because I was struggling to get the moves or for other reasons, I had trouble maintaining my heart rate in my target zone. So, ultimately this workout was not a good fit for me, but it might work well for someone who is better coordinated and can more easily learn the dance moves.

"Prevention: Dance It Off!" is an express workout, which means it has several 10-minute segments intended for you to do just one on a busy day or all when you have the time. It's kind of like the "10 Minute Solution" series. This is led by Jennifer Galardi who did a great job leading as always. The 6 parts of the workout were: Warm-Up-A little bit of Jazz choreography before leading in some plies and leg warm ups. A really fun warm-up. I could tell from this that the rest of the DVD would be great! Hip-Hop-Just like Jennifer says at the end of this routine, these are some fresh moves. I've never seen anything quite like them. They are really unique, freestylin', and fun! It's probably the highest cardio of all the routines, and it is really fun! Latin-This teaches you moves from various genres of Latin dance such as the Cha-Cha, Merengue, and Salsa. It was my favorite routine, and it did get my heart rate up. It has a lot of twisting, but I didn't find it that hard to do on carpet. Jazz-This routine I found the most basic of all the routines except for the "Drama" step. It has a complicated rhythm change that took me a while to get used to. Otherwise it is a pleasant mixture of familiar moves that are a lot of fun! Ballet-This is not a routine like the other workouts, but it is rather just ballet moves taight to you one at a time. It is not cardio, rather it is for toning, but I feel no results at all. This is a total zero for me unless I wanted to learn basic ballet moves, and I don't. It is not a workout at all. Cool-Down-This is a nice mixture of stretches for the legs, but don't expect any for the arms. You don't work out the arms that much in the routines, so it is understandable. There is no dancing, just stretching which I loved! This is a great workout from Prevention and Jennifer Galardi, and I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the ballet segment which some people will love. I didn't, but I loved everything else there is about this DVD.

I am a fan of Jen coz her dance routine really helps me to keep fit. I have bought a couple from Amazon, but this one is a bit dissapointing coz I can't play on my normal dvd or blue ray player coz it has a different code, maybe only for the US. Since I am too lazy to return it, I have to play it on my pc... and got myself new big speakers so that I can hear the audio better. I wished they have sent me the one that can be used with any dvd like the others.

This is not at all what I was looking for in a dance exercise video. I gave it away and will go back to Richard Simmons. I don't know how you can produce a dance exercise video without music!

I bought this from Target ($10) for my 2 year old grandson. He loved marching to the tunes, and it does record his voice. However, it does NOT project his voice at all! I tried it as well. I had to put my lips right on the opening on the top and yell... my husband said it only changed the sound, but didn't amplify at all. I took it back and I'm very disappointed.

I was very dissatisfied with my purchase and would have returned it if the packaging had not been destroyed in opening. The microphone did not project the voice at all. I thought it was way overpriced for what I got. I just cannot stress enough how disappointed both myself and my grandson was with the performance of this item.

We purchased this microphone for our two year old son for his birthday. Turns out my 5 year old loves it too. There are a handful of cheery children's tunes pre-recorded on here that the boys really enjoy playing/hearing. The record function works well and it's an added bonus to have the ability to slow down/speed up the recordings. We always have a good laugh. This thing has been dropped countless times and is still kicking. I also REALLY appreciate the volume control. (Although it really took me more than a few moments to find it!) I should mention that we purchased this item back in October and paid only $19.25 for it. Even though I think it's a great item, I would not have shelled out over thirty bucks for it! Going on that, I give this microphone an A.

...for $12.99......bought two of them last week...woulda been mad had I paid the $30 I was going to, and then found them for $13!..Shame on the retailers that hike the prices like this.

The music is ok, but I wanted it to amplify one child's voice so that he/she could be heard above other children in the choir, and the volume is not high enough at its highest for that to happen.
